Position: Sales, Project Manager
Location: Greater area Stuttgart
Your tasks:
- Account origination and development of car door handles, including the implementation of corporate strategy throughout Europe;
- Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Operations and Marketing during the process, to discover new opportunities;
- Need support of new and existing global programs with problem-solving skills and executive support. This includes a wide range of tasks of contract negotiations up to the introduction of new concepts and products;
- To determine permanent exchange and development of networks with the Manager and Director level, to ensure customer satisfaction and to maximize the business potential;
- Participation in the development of technical marketing and sales strategy and the identification of short and long term strategic marketing plans;
- Identify work, and forge ahead of strategic initiatives to enable additional growth opportunities in new or neighbouring markets;
- Creation of presentations and management of projects that contribute to the active support of the global new business team;
- Analysis of various sales / marketing trends and competitive activities, and based thereon make recommendations for increasing awareness and measures to increase sales;
- Close collaboration with colleagues from Asia, to ensure a consistent and efficient approach on a global scale;
- Co-ordinate business development opportunities with support from product team, engineering, and others as required to facilitate quote preparation in response to RFQs; (taking into consideration cost, quality, timing, delivery requirements etc)
- Leverage customer relationship in the pursuit of new business according to our client and platform strategy;
- Anticipate the issuing of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and manage internal resources for advanced preparation;
- Be the single point customer interface for the receipt of RFQs, and return of quotations;
- Determine, communicate and resolve any hurdles that will influence the awarding of business;
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in a technical, business or scientific subject;
- Experience in a similar function with a focus on business development within the automotive environment, for example in business development, strategic marketing, sales or product management; proven business acquisition success record in automotive products at tier one level is an advantage;
- Strategic thinking coupled with a high degree of creativity, analytics, business acumen and a “nose” for business opportunities;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in relation to the processing and visualization of data to communicate focused key value propositions;
- Ability to understand political implications at all levels of negotiation with the customer; Ability to foster effective relationships and communicate effectively, both internally and externally at all levels;
- Self-motivated team player with persuasion, assertiveness, relentless determination and passion for results-oriented success;
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written, as well as competent handling of MS Office, especially PowerPoint;
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks;
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to support the business as required;
- Flexibility and willingness to support the business outside of normal working hours when required.
